Classes
The Seattle Audubon Society offers educational opportunities for individuals and families. A variety of classes on birding and natural history are taught throughout the year by qualified instructors who are experts in their respective fields. See Class Schedule for a current list of classes and their descriptions.

Seattle Audubon also offers a Master Birder Program: A two-year education-for-service program focusing on the identification and natural history of Washington's birds. Since 1988 Seattle Audubon has graduated exceptional classes of Master Birders. After passing an entrance exam, individuals complete two intensive years of study of Northwest birds. These highly qualified bird experts provide invaluable leadership throughout the Seattle Audubon Society and the community.

Seattle Audubon is again offering its highly successful Master Advocate for the Environment Program. It will start on April 7, 2004. In this 10-week series, participants will learn about grassroots campaigns, how to earn good media coverage, which lobbying techniques get results, how to recruit volunteer support, proven outreach strategies, how to negotiate effectively, and much more. All citizens who are passionate about environmental protection and eager to take their advocacy skills to the next level are encouraged to apply.
