The 2014-2015 season of the Puget Sound Seabird Survey consisted of 719 surveys from October 2014 through April 2015, a 70% increase in the number of surveys from the 2013-14 season. Surveys were conducted at 115 locations around the Puget Sound region, an increase of 72% in the number of survey locations than the previous season. Counties that had surveys in them include Clallam, Island, Jefferson, King, Kitsap, Pierce, Snohomish and Thurston, 3 more counties than the 2013-14 season. These surveys represented approximately 279hrs of survey time (an increase of 67% compared to the previous season) and over 793hrs of volunteer effort, a 164% increase over the 2013-14 survey season. Data were collected on 53 species of seabird and waterfowl that utilize near-shore habitat, a 6% increase in species than the previous season.
