Registration Procedures 

• Please sign up in advance for all field trips and bird walks. No walk-ins, please.
• Registration is now open when field trips are posted. Register for a trip by calling the Seattle Audubon office at 206-523-4483, Monday through Saturday from 10am-5pm. Provide a contact name and number for emergencies when you sign up.
• Members may sign up for themselves and one guest for no more than two trips. Nonmembers may sign up only on the wait list.
• Do not call leaders to register; their numbers are listed only for last-minute cancellations. For trip leader profiles and contact information, click here.
• Field trips are for people 18 years of age and older. Anyone under 18 must call for information before registering.

Field Trip Preparation

• No pets are allowed on any field trip.
• Be prepared with layers, rain gear, and waterproof footwear appropriate to the weather.
• Always bring a lunch, drinks, and snacks for trips that go beyond midday.
• Bring binoculars, fieldguides, and cash for carpool fees, ferries, lattes, etc.
• If you have them, bring spotting scopes, walkie talkies, WDFW stickers, Golden Age passes, and park passes.
• Arrive at meeting place a few minutes early. Leaders will not wait for late arrivals.
• Carpool fees are 25 cents per mile and are listed for each trip, to be divided by passengers in each car. Ferry tolls and park fees are additional.
• Field trip participants must wear seat-belts.
• Like most other organizations, Seattle Audubon now requires participants to sign a waiver as a condition of participating in these free services. Click here to view a copy of the "liability release form" you will need to sign the day of the trip.

If You Need To Cancel

• If you are unable to attend a trip for which you registered, notify the office ASAP so someone else can fill your spot. Repeat no-shows will be bumped to the wait list.
• Call the leader only for last-minute cancellations.

Locations of Carpool Meeting Places

• NE 145th Street Park-&-Ride (P&R) is near Exit 175 off northbound I-5. Go straight ahead (north) through the traffic signal at NE 145th Street, and turn left into the P&R in about a half block. (Be careful not to turn onto I-5, as there is an on-ramp just before the P&R.)
• 272nd Street Park-&-Ride (P&R) is at exit #147 off I-5; turn right and right into parking lot.
• Ash Way Park-&-Ride (P&R) is off I-5 north of Seattle. Take Exit 183. Turn left on 164th Street. Go over overpass and turn right onto Ash Way, then right into P&R. You'll see P&R from 164th.
• Carkeek Park is at NW 110th and Greenwood Ave. N. in Seattle.
• Center for Urban Horticulture (CUH) is at 3501 NE 41st in Seattle.
• Discovery Park is at 3800 W. Government Way in Seattle.
• Green Lake is at 7201 East Green Lake Dr N., west of I-5.
• Herring's House Park restoration site is just north of Kellogg Island on West Marginal Way, south of the West Seattle Bridge.
• Jack Block Park is at Terminal 5, 2130 Harbor Ave. SW, past the 7-11 and just before Salty's.
• Juanita Bay Park is at 2201 Market Street in Kirkland, park lot of 98th Ave.
• Lincoln Park is at 8011 Fauntleroy Way SW (at Monroe), just north of the ferry terminal in West Seattle.
• Luther Burbank Park is at 2040 84th Avenue SE, Mercer Island, at the northeast end of the island.
• Magnuson Park is a 6500 Sand Point Way (65^th St. and Sand Point Way NE), and the Magnuson Education Pavilion is at the end of the 65^th Street entrance to the park.”
• Maple Valley P&R is at 23033 Renton-Maple Valley Rd/SE 231st St & Renton-Maple Valley Rd (SR-169).
• Marymoor Park is at 6046 West Lake Sammamish Parkway Northeast in Redmond.
• Mercer Island Park-&-Ride (P&R) is north of I-90 at 80th Ave. SE and N Mercer Way (take exit 7A from Seattle).

• Mountlake Terrace Park-&-Ride (P&R) is at exit #178 northbound off I-5.
• MOHAI/Museum of History and Industry is northeast of Montlake Overpass of SR 520.
• Newport Hills P&R is at 5115 113th Pl SE/I-405 & 112th Pl SE, in Bellevue. Take Exit 9 from I-405.
• Pier 62/63, 1951 Alaskan Way, is just north of the Seattle Aquarium.
• Ravenna Park-&-Ride (P&R) is under I-5 on the north side of the NE 65th Street.
• Schmitz Preserve Park is at 5551 SW Admiral Way in West Seattle.
• Seward Park is at 5902 Lake Washington Blvd. S.
• Shoreline Park-&-Ride (P&R) is at 18821 Aurora Ave N/Aurora Ave N & N 192nd St
• South Kirkland Park-&-Ride (P&R) is at  10610 NE 38th Place in Kirkland.
• South Renton Park-&-Ride (P&R) is at the corner of Shattuck Ave. S. and S. Grady Way, northeast of the intersection of I-405 and SR 67, across the street from the Renton Village shopping center.
• Tibbetts Valley Park P&R  (Issaquah) - Exit 15 off I-90, turn right, go south to 3rd traffic light, left on NewPort Way, go less than ½ block, turn right.

• Union Bay Natural Area (UBNA), a.k.a. Montlake Fill, is west of the Center for Urban Horticulture, 3501 NE 41st in Seattle.
