FAQ

Seattle Audubon's Junior Naturalist leaders-in-training program provides volunteer leadership opportunities at Nature Camp for high school teens entering 10th - 12th grade. Junior Naturalists work closely with staff Naturalists to teach about birds and nature. They help supervise campers, lead games, songs, read stories, and lead at least one theme activity per week.

Junior Naturalists devote at least one full week of summer, but may do several if available. Orientation is provided prior to the first week of camp.

To be eligible, teens must be entering the 10th grade or higher, have an interest in nature and children, and pass an application and screening process.
