Want to participate in the Christmas Bird Count? CBC 2012 is Saturday, December 29. You can register online now, below!

The CBC is now a free program. However, Seattle Audubon kindly asks you to donate the traditional $5.00 fee to Seattle Audubon’s Citizen Science Programs. Simply make the donation to the leader on the day of the count. However, this is entirely optional and if not paid will not preclude anyone from taking part in the count.

Please bring your own binoculars if you have them and dress for the weather.

Seattle Christmas Bird Count Registration

This year's Count will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2012. Deadline for registration is Monday, December 17th.
The $5 donation can be payable to the leader on the day of the count.

Volunteers are needed for both the count and the potluck. Count volunteers should be prepared to spend most of the daylight hours doing the census, rain or shine. Preliminary species results will be shared at the potluck after leaders and volunteers gather upon completion of their count circles around 5 p.m. Doors open at 4 pm if you'd like to warm up; the potluck ends at 7 p.m.

The CBC Potluck will be held at Wedgwood Presbyterian Church in Wedgwood (8008 35th Avenue Northeast, corner of NE 35th and 80th Street). Parking is available in the church parking lot, but may be limited.
