Shawn Cantrell, Executive Director: Shawn joined Seattle Audubon staff in 2006 and has over 15 years of non-profit management experience. He has worked in leadership roles for organizations focused on environmental education, conservation advocacy, social justice, and civic engagement. Shawn received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Gonzaga University and a Nonprofit Executive Leadership certificate from the Evans School of Public Affairs at the University of Washington.
Kintea Bryant, Education Director: Kintea joined Seattle Audubon staff in 2002 and has direct experience working as an educator at multiple public facilities. She has also worked as a scientific researcher, mammalian biologist, and zoological narrator. Kintea received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from the University of Colorado and a Master’s in Education degree from Seattle University.
Matt Mega, Conservation Director: Matt joined Seattle Audubon staff in 2003 and has several years of experience as a land use and community development planner. His professional affiliations include American Institute of Certified Planners and American Association of Planning. Matt received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Massachusetts and a Master of Science of Landscape Architecture and a Master of Planning and Public Policy, both from the University of Minnesota.
Russ Steele, Director of Retail Operations: Russ joined Seattle Audubon Staff in 1998 and has diverse experience in both retail sales and non-profit management. He was owner/manager of Wedgwood Cycle in Seattle and has been board president of Earth Share of Washington and a board member of the Bicycle Federation of Washington. Russ received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Puget Sound.
