Great Washington State Birding Trail: Sun and Sage Loop

Great Washington State Birding Trail: Sun and Sage Loop
Along the Great Washington State Birding Trail*, you’ll find the best places for the best bird watching in the Evergreen State. The first four routes, the Cascade Loop, the Coulee Corridor, Southwest Loop and the Olympic Loop are now joined by the NEW fifth, Sun & Sage Loop. Each map features sites for birders, novice to expert, to find feathered friends in every season. The full-color maps also feature original artwork of birds along the routes, plus descriptions of habitat, access, and when to go. Audubon Washington has worked with many private partners and public agencies on the trails, which will eventually cover the whole state.
* Birding trails are most often driving trips with stops at special places where birds are most likely to be seen. Each stop describes the habitat, what birds are there in what season, where to look, and how to get from a main road to the location. Some trails include water routes where you can paddle your canoe or kayak to see birds; other trails include biking or walking routes.
